The U.S. District Court, Southern District of Georgia accepts Criminal Debt Payments online via Pay.gov. Pay.gov is a secure government website that allows you to submit payments for your federal debt(s) electronically.Pay.gov is managed by the Department of Treasury, Financial Management Services. The only acceptable means of payments are Bank Accounts (ACH), Debit Cards, and PayPal. Credit card payments are not permitted.

Who can make payments through Pay.gov?
Anyone can make a payment if they have a Bank Account, a Debit Card, or a PayPal Account, and the criminal case is within the Southern District of Georgia.
What types of payments can be made through Pay.gov?
Criminal Debt Payments such as Restitution, Fines and Special Assessments can be paid through Pay.gov. If you wish to pay a fine (ticket) for offenses committed on federal property, like national parks and military installations, you can do so. Central Violations Bureau (CVB) fines must be paid through CVB and can be reached by calling (800) 827-2982 or by clicking the CVB tab.
Do I have to create an account?
As of November 2024, Pay.gov usernames and passwords will no longer be valid for any account and security questions (as an attempt to retrieve your login) will no longer be used or valid. Can I make a payment with a Credit Card?
No, you cannot. You must use a Bank Account (ACH), a Debit Card, or a PayPal Account.
What kind of Debit Cards does Pay.gov take?
You may use a Mastercard or Visa Debit Card to make a payment.
Can someone make a payment on my behalf?
Yes, third party payments can be made. The Payer must have the full criminal case number (e.g., DGAS425CR0000000-01) to make a payment on behalf of the defendant. Please ensure that the case is within the Southern District of Georgia.
Do I need to know my case number?
Yes, your case number is required to make a payment through Pay.gov. You can find your case number on your Debtor Statement or Payment Coupon that you received from the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
