Jurors who fail to report for jury duty and who are not excused by the Court may be served with an Order To Show Cause. Those jurors may be ordered to appear before a U. S. District Judge or a U. S. Magistrate Judge to show good cause why they should not be held in contempt for failure to comply with the jury summons. Contempt penalties include a fine of not more than $1000, imprisonment of not more than three (3) days, performance of community service, or any combination thereof.
